About Wonderdog
Sneyd’s Wonderfeeds has deep roots in both the pet food industry and the world of working dogs. The company was founded in the early 1980s by John Sneyd, who was an avid gundog trialling man.
At the time, John found there was no affordable option for feeding working dogs a high-quality food that provided the necessary nutrients and vitamins for peak performance. Running a successful plumbing business, John saw an opportunity in the market. After careful research, he realized no existing brand offered the balance of quality and value he sought, so he made the bold decision to sell his plumbing business and invest the money into creating dry dog foods.
John’s venture quickly took off, and he soon became one of the largest manufacturers of dry dog food in the country. After entering a business partnership, John eventually decided to sell his share and start anew on his own terms. In 1993, Pinetree Pet Products was born, and the company has never looked back.
John was soon joined by his son-in-law, Phil, who became John’s right-hand man. Together, they worked tirelessly to grow the company into a leading manufacturer of dry dog feeds, and over the years, they introduced horse feeds and small animal feeds. However, in later years, they decided to discontinue these products to focus exclusively on dry dog foods.
In 2012 as a testament to our success we moved into our current site, a 25,000 sq ft site in North Lincolnshire and rebranded under the company name of Sneyd’s Wonderfeeds.
In 2013, Sneyd’s Wonderfeeds began exporting its products to Europe, and the company quickly became a prominent exporter.
In 2016, tragedy struck when Phil unexpectedly passed away. His son-in-law, Ryan Sinclair, who had been working in the business since 2009, stepped in to continue running the company.
In 2023, John sadly passed away, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and innovation. His wife, Jean Sneyd, who had been a director until recently, survives him. Their daughter, Hayley, serves as the company secretary, ensuring that the family’s commitment to quality and service continues into the next generation.
Today, Sneyd’s Wonderfeeds remains family-owned and operated, with Ryan and Robyn Sinclair at the helm, upholding the values that have made the company a trusted name in pet food for over four decades. From our state-of-the-art facility in North Lincolnshire, we continue to produce high-quality, nutrient-rich dog food for active dogs across the UK and beyond.
